Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve

Knob Creek is set to launch a new bourbon this February, the first new bottling since the original Knob was released some twenty years ago. The new bourbon, a single barrel offering, will come in at 120 proof, more than the 100 proof strength of the regular Knob Creek offering. You’ll get more knob when you quaff with this one.

According to the Wine Enthusiast Magazine, the tasting notes of this bourbon are heady:

It has vanilla and orange-peel scents and a very deep, rich burnt-toffee taste with a lingering vanilla finish.

We’ve gobbled the Knob with relish over the years, and will be keeping a trained (if bleary) eye out for this one appearing in our local fun store. Living in BC you’re never sure what  will make its way across the border, but as we already get the regular bottling of Knob Creek I expect this to appear as well. That was true in the case of Maker’s Mark 46, which magically appeared recently on the shelf.
