My parents were smart too. They only let me read books about sex, violence, and hard drinking so that my religious beliefs wouldn't be tampered with by outside forces. None of this "literature" crap for the chinaskis!

We couldn't afford lite bright when I was a kid. I only got Dr.Suess with every second page ripped out. I think it was my parents way of protecting me. They were visionaries and saw this commin' a long time ago.

I am completely outraged! My nostrils are flaring and fire is flaming out of my ears! I want my kids to be able to clearly read and understand a book's message rather than be fed some subversive backwards content!

Your brief allusion to "the Brights" reminds me of a craft we played with as youngsters "Lite-Brite" - another subversive activity created to bring "lite" to the minds of dim-witted young "Brites", so they could feel temporary joy as they were led down the wayward path of hidden meaning...

In an unrelated incident, Helen Keller was tasered today by an RCMP junior officer who happened to be driving by as she tripped over a curb and fell heavily onto the pavement. Presuming substance abuse on the part of Ms Keller, the officer stopped and attempted to arrest her. He became concerned for his own safety when she proved unresponsive and unable to communicate effectively in English. As she was also carrying what appeared to the officer to be a potentially threatening object in her left hand (later identified as the harness linking Ms Keller to her seeing-eye dog), he applied his taser to the suspect and handcuffed her on the spot.

In a subsequent press conference, RCMP spokesman Dick Dickweed stated: "In our view Officer Cumstain acted lawfully in this case. The fact that Ms Keller is blind, deaf and mute is in no way relevant, and should not be taken into account by the investigators as they try to piece together the events that unfolded here."

I really don't think it's fair of you to refer to bank and multinational CEOs as "criminals". Those guys work really hard for their money, and they deserve all they can get. Sure, a few dozen peons have had to be destroyed and a few million lives ruined along the way, and it's sometimes challenging to keep track of their nebulous offshore accounts and bonus packages so as to ... I don't know ... perhaps ... tax them, but that doesn't make them criminals, for god's sake! It just makes them highly motivated human beings, who deep down are just vulnerable, lovable blokes ... exactly like you and me. Just better.

On a humorous note, imagine what it's like for Stockwell Day to go out trick-or-treating in his Goldilocks outfit, just to see others walk around in their Stockwell Day costumes! Must be kind of surreal, wouldn't you think?
